Forum Of Young Theatre Critics

In the FORUM OF YOUNG THEATRE CRITICS young cultural journalists accompany the festival. They write for the festival blog www.newplays-blog.de and also release two newspaper bulletins. This will enable the 2010 forum to provide quick, modern and personal contributions as well as the creation of longer texts under time constraints similar to those in the editing department of a daily newspaper are exercised. Over the internet, the participants are able to reach interested theatregoers and friends of the guest productions from all over Europe, the print version is reserved for local audiences in the Rhine-Main region. In addition to analyzing contemporary theatre trends, the forum also reflects on the medial, contextual and formal developments of theatre criticism and cultural journalism in Europe. The invited journalists try their hands at various arts & culture formats and writing styles, expand their online skills and report on new European drama.
